Lab Introduction & Major Research Interests
In recent years, I have focused on the drug development for the treatment of stroke and cognition impairment. We have set up several animal models for the examination or screening of neuroprotectans. The in vitro cell cultures (primary cortex or hippocampal neurons, SH-SY5Y, PC-12, Neuro-2A, rat BBB cell line, astrocyte, microglia cultures etc) are also used to explore the action mechanism of the neuroprotective drugs. The behavior core is set up in the animal center of College of Medicine. Many kinds of behavioral tests are used for the examination of phenotype of mutant mice and evaluation of CNS drugs.
