Dr. Chen is currently the director of the Computational Human-sociocultural Experimental Neuroscience (CHEN) Lab at the Department of Psychology. The CHEN Lab takes an interdisciplinary approach, utilizing artificial intelligence, computational modeling, and neuroimaging methods to study interacting minds and how these interactions influence each other’s beliefs, feelings and behaviors as well as their corresponding brain representations. Our current research topics include taking a computational approach to disentangle the complexity of psychological and affective processes, utilizing naturalistic paradigms to exploring the complexity of interacting minds, and examining how social relationships influence our well-being by analyzing big data.
