Lab Introduction & Major Research Interests
Our major research interests are stem cells tissue regeneration and development of biomaterials. We have worked on the study of citrus polyphenol for oral would healing and inhibition of oral cancer and patents were filed. We also had worked on developing a novel cholesterol-based nanocarrier with high transfection efficiency and serum compatibility for gene therapy. In addition, by using magnetic nanocarrier, we worked for promoting dentinogenesis through micro-RNA-218 inhibition. Using far-infrared ray radiation for promoting neurite outgrowth of neuron-like PC12 cells was also demonstrated for further neural regeneration application. Neural differentiation of dental pulp stem cells with 3D printed polylactic acid scaffolds were also investigated.
