Ming H. Hsieh

Lab Introduction & Major Research Interests

Ming’s major research fields are auditory event-related potentials: P50, MMN (mismatch negativity) and Gamma ASSR in schizophrenia patients. He is interested in how these preattentional, automatic information processing differentiated between control group and schizophrenia patients. Besides schizophrenia, the ERP-Lab at Department of Psychiatry, NTUH also recruits subjects other psychiatry disorders, for example, suspected pre-psychotic state, autistic disorder, ADHD, etc. In addition to traditional ERP analysis, he is also interested in source localization, time-frequency analysis and other measures of large-scale interactions in event-related potentials.

Dr. Hsieh graduated from Institute of Biomedical Engineering, NTU (2013) with his Doctoral Dissertation “Application of Event-related Potentials in Schizophrenia Research”. He is currently the ERP-Lab director at Department of Psychiatry, NTUH.
