How an transient experience becomes a long-lasting memory remains a fascinating open question in neuroscience. Neurons communicate through small junctions called synapses, where molecules assemble and reorganize in response to neural activity. This talk will discuss about how we combine biophysical approaches with advanced optical imaging, including super-resolution microscopy, to study how protein condensate forms and changes molecular organization at synapses upon neuronal activity.
