Lab Introduction & Major Research Interests
The major research directions in my lab are: (1) Brain drug delivery: Use ultrasound as a tool for blood-brain barrier opening for brain drug delivery, tackling the clinical issues including brain tumor, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease. (2) Neuromodulation: Use ultrasound as a stimulator to facilitate or suppress neuron action potential with the purpose to understand brain functions or as a tool for CNS interventions. To support the research direction, the used tools in our lab include: small-animal MRI, fMRI, EEG, or behavioral analysis.
